MEDITATION.
Rhythms of faith call us to movement or what we often hear are these verbs:
Live by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7, Gal 2:20)
Walk by faith (Romans 4:12)
Remain, stand firm in faith (Acts 14:22, 1 Co. 16:13, 1 Peter 5:9)
Increase, grow in faith (Luke 17:5, 2 Th 1:3, Jude 20)
Do everything by faith (Romans 14:22-23)
Pray in faith (James 1:5-6)
Discovery. An invitation to listen and move.
Is there a rhythm of faith resonating with you?
Stay with one of the rhythms noted above. Listen-in to hear from God. What might He want you to notice in your life of faith with Him and with others?
Take some time to read one of the Scripture passages slowly, two or three times.
Journal a word or phrase standing out to you from the Scripture.
Ask God about their meaning. Write down any questions you desire to ask or find yourself wrestling with.
Wonder with an image of the rhythm (you may look through a magazine, your photos, out a window, or your view on a walk).
How might God be calling you to respond to what you are noticing about this rhythm?
Offer a prayer
“Lord, Help me trust, and have confidence in the gift of faith You have given me.”
