About Me
Sitting with a spiritual companion is one of the most beautiful experiences. Helping you see God within your life’s journey and hearing His ways in your day by day is a gift.
In the midst of today’s constantly moving and changing culture, we may forget where we are, what we are living for, and who we are. We may feel like we are in a tug-of-war emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally. We may find ourselves asking, What do I do? Who can I trust? Is God really with me? If you are asking some of these questions, spiritual direction may be helpful for you as it is for me.
Throughout many years, I have journeyed on a continuous path of seeking and knowing God more day by day. Life in all its ordinary ways is where I have experienced the tensions of growing in my faith with God and others. The paths have been deepening experiences in God’s generous love, grace, goodness, through struggles and sorrows, sickness, healing, loss--the ordinary life of this world.
After many years as an educator, a transition in vocation has been a wonderful and challenging experience. As a Spiritual Director, my heart's growing passion is to help others listen for God’s voice while being together.
Melanie is a trained Christian Spiritual Director and Christian educator from the Central Valley of California. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband Brian, three grown children and their spouses, and two grandchildren.
Melanie has a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Selah/Leadership Transformations Inc, a certificate in Spiritual Formation from Abide/ LTI, a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies/Christian Education, and an A.A. in Behavioral and Social Sciences. Grafted Life member
